Family Visits, Winning the Eczema Battle, and "Who Are You?"

We had a good week and weekend. Morgan got to spend time with family: Auntie Ashleigh on Wednesday, Cousin Jasmin on Thursday, Cousin Alteria on Saturday, and Honey Gran and PaPa Coach Saturday and Sunday. :)

This week we've also been focusing on getting her little baby eczema better. We had to alter her diet -- which resulted in some amusing picky-eating episodes -- and try a new skincare regimen. Things are looking better, thank God. You may even be able to notice from the pics below that her face isn't as pale. The good thing about this all is Doc said she'll probably grow out of it.

I also noticed this weekend that Morgan is starting that typical stranger anxiety babies get. No longer is everyone her friend -- she has to check you out first. And if she hasn't seen you in a while, she has to re-evaluate you before she warms up. It makes me think about daycare -- when she goes back in August; it will break my heart if she cries when I leave. I've taken her to see her teacher once a week since I withdrew her for the summer, so maybe it won't happen. (The more I stay at home with her, though, the more I believe it will be ME having a hard time in August! I LOVE being with her 24-7!!)

Anyway, here are a few pics from the last few days. Have a great week, everybody! :)

Having fun with Alteria.
Hanging with Jasmin.

Chillin' with Mama.

And loving on Daddy. :)

  1. Cute pictures! I'm glad you are having fun spending time with famliy this summer.. beats summer school I'm sure! Hey Delaney got a little ezcema (or so thats what they tell me it is) in the corner of one of her eyelids.. kind of weird that its only there but I'm having trouble getting rid of it... I have been using Cetaphil and Aquaphor.. any better ideas? I wanted to find what you guys have found works best... Morgan is soooo beautiful and adorable!! I love looking at all your pictures!

  2. Jake has eczema on his back and shoulders (poor kid is like sandpaper) - anyway...our Dr suggested 1% hydrocortizone cream and it works wonders! After I put the HC cream on I put Aveeno baby lotion on over it. Either way - Morgan looks so pretty in her cute dress!! I love it!

  3. Morgan has Michelle Obama arms.
