Rollin' w/ the Tide, Nine Months, and Big, Fat LIAR!

Morgan's last name is Kimble. That means she has Bama in her blood. That means that she was tailgating this past Saturday in Atlanta for the game against Virginia Tech. And she did so well!

We took her Pack 'n Play out there for when she napped. And she just sort of hung out with everyone here and there, and never even cried. She went to EVERYONE. I guess that stranger anxiety went out the door! Maybe she just recognized all the voices from when I was pregnant. Either way, I think she really enjoyed it -- which makes me happy!

Morgan and Lil' G. She loved him!
Now you KNOW I had to snap shots of this cutie.
And these were just candids! Kids are SO natural!

And here are a few of Morgan Monster.Gearing up for a nap.

In other news, Morgan turns nine months tomorrow! Time is FLYING! Her little personality just continues to blossom. What is she up to at nine months? She still is SUCH a sweet and happy baby. She rarely cries. (I guess God said he'd give me a break with the first one. The second one is probably going to be a little Tazmania.) She is now BORED with the ExerSaucer. She loved that thing for months! Now all she wants to do is be on the floor playing with other toys. She loves her little baby laptop. At first she only got a kick out of closing it (she couldn't open it back, though, LOL). But now she likes to press the buttons and dance (yes, DANCE!) to the music. And clap. She LOVES to clap. One morning, she even woke up clapping and yawning. It was hilarious. And guess who started crawling a few days ago? :) How in the world do they move so fast when they first start? I always assumed they started slowly, but she crawls like she's been crawling forever!

Today she sat in the shopping cart for the first time. {To see a pic of it, check out my Twitter.} She probably could've done this months ago, but it sort of freaks me out when she's like REALLY out in the open like that. (In the infant carrier, she's a little more covered; and people aren't so quick to come over and touch.) I love nice, friendly strangers -- I really do -- but what I don't like is when they come up and grab your baby's hands. You've been grocery shopping - your hands are NOT clean. Oh, and this one's worse (and happened today): they come up and grab your baby's paci right out of her mouth? What do they expect -- for Morgan to talk or something? LOL. But I'm trying not to obsess about things like that. Quite honestly, I really like when she's exposed to new faces, and people she's never seen. It's just the germ thing. Yes, I have issues.

Speaking of germs -- and this is going back to tailgating this past weekend -- I was willing to use the porta-potty. That was until I walked up and realized that I was one of the few women in a line with about 12 sweaty, probably drunken, men. The thought of sharing a porta-potty with men (I think men's restrooms are so gross -- even clean ones) gave me an excuse to walk my butt over to one of the buildings surrounding the Dome to use a clean, air-conditioned restroom. Well, I walk up and the security guard is telling people the building is closing -- letting no one use the restroom. So very quickly, I thought of this horrible lie.

Me: "Sir, are these restrooms closed?"Security Guard: "Yes, ma'am. You'll have to go to the building across the..."Me: "But sir, I'm pregnant. And I've really gotta go."Security Guard: *Looks down at my belly.* "Go ahead."Okay, there are two things wrong with this:

  1. Either I could pass for pregnant or he just didn't want to ask any questions. I'm going with the latter! *Pretending I'm not a little rounder these days.*
  2. And the second thing wrong with this is the fact that I told a big, fat LIE. Oh, my God, this was on my mind for the rest of that day.
Anyone that knows me well know that I am a horrible liar. So, besides the fact that it's wrong, I don't lie because I can't. But I did it Saturday. And I felt so awful about it. I asked God for forgiveness for my lying (and about such a precious thing). :-(

Anyway, if you've made it this far, thanks for reading my ramblings! I try not to talk too much on the blog, but sometimes (okay, MOST of the time), I'm not successful. But no one's really complaining, I guess. And every once in a while I run into someone new that says they read the blog. :) Thanks so much. I'm still getting into the groove of the working mama thing, but hopefully very soon I can go back to updating more than once a week. And for those of you who are off for Labor Day, get you some R & R. You deserve it. (If I could only practice what I preach...). I hope you all have a wonderful, wonderful week.

Notes About Pictures: In case you're wondering, yes, I do take pictures of other people (besides Morgan and other kids). :) But usually it's adults and they would probably kill me for putting them on the blog. You know how we adults think we look awful in all pics! Wait...or is that just me?
Oh, and if I harassed you or your child with my camera on Saturday, I will e-mail you a copy of the pics in the next day or two. :)
