Christmas Day!

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas Day!  As children, my brother and I always woke up super-early on Christmas morning, so I was growing impatient when Morgan and her daddy were still asleep at 8 AM!  Who sleeps that late on Christmas morning?! LOL!

So finally they woke up and we walked Morgan in to see what Santa brought her!

We told Santa that Morgan only wanted one thing since she's so young -- the little farm you see here. :)  And the presents stacked all around the farm are are from my friend, Tia, who has always bought Morgan way too much stuff! :)  And, no, she's not one of those single gals that want to spoil their friends' kids -- she has two children of her own (remember these gorgeous faces?)! So imagine their living room on Christmas morning!

Shortly after opening presents and playing for a while, we headed down to my mom's.  We had a GREAT time!  It reminded me so much of the many times we've been in that same garage just enjoying being around family.  Now that all of the "children" are older and have families of our own, we don't get together as often. :(  Anyway, my mom decorated the garage in purple and gold Christmas decorations and even had a big sign that welcomed you to Carmelanie, Alteria, and Morgan's (her grandchildren's) Christmas dinner.  We enjoyed a song and a couple of poems to remind us what the season is about before digging in to some good home cooking!  We then played some games and had door prizes -- fun, fun!  I didn't do a great job of taking pictures (I never do! Ugh!), but I managed to get a few.

Elisha, reading one of her originals. :)

Shawn and Cassie (sisters that look more alike the older they get).

Aunt Elida and husband, James.

Xavolon -- I remember loving on him so much when he was Morgan's age!  Now he's in high school!  Where did the time go?!

Kenyatta, who also is all of sudden in high school!

Alethea, my niece's mom!

Me with one of the newer additions to the family.  The last time I saw him he was tiny! And look at all that hair!

You should know these folks by now.  Mo and her MeMaw.

My Aunt Elida and James with their family (two children and one grandchild are missing).

Messing with MeMaw's Tree.

 The girls!  Remember them?

Happy and full after Granna's mac 'n cheese!  She took a LONG nap after this!

My cousin Shawn's little one.  It's now getting to the point where I'm not remember all the kids' names! :)

Also in attendance were my grandmother (who hates taking pictures), my in-laws (who also hate taking pictures) a few more aunts, cousins, family friends, etc. Our Chrismas Day was GREAT and we are so blessed to have been able to spend it with so much family!

(Got a couple more posts to get in. Check back soon!)
