"Crazy" Day...Plus, a Visit from Family!

If you follow me on Twitter, then you know I recently tweeted about having a crazy morning (Thursday, to be exact).  I wish I could've explained it on Twitter, but you know it only gives you so many characters to type! :)  So let me brielfy share with you our "crazy" morning.  Long story short, BOTH of our vehicles gave us trouble Thursday morning.  Danny had to be towed home, and the one I drive wouldn't start.  Yes, the same morning!  LOL.  Luckily the one I drive only needed a battery.  The one Danny drives is an older model (it's his sister's old car). I think he's going to look into seeing if it's worth fixing it before we look into getting another vehicle.

Situations like this make me so very grateful for my blessings.  We have AAA, so we didn't have to come out of any money for towing or anything like that.  AAA also provided a complimentary rental car for one day, which helped out a lot.  I'm also thankful for my mother-in-law, who came to our house to keep Morgan so that we could get things taken care of (getting her to daycare would've required some car seat reinstallation into the rental, which we just didn't have time for that morning).  The biggest thing I'm grateful for from this situation is that neither Danny nor I were rattled by this.  I guess we both realized that this is nothing. We both literally laughed it off as we called each other and said, "Come pick me up -- the car quit" and just a few minutes later,  "You'll never believe this, but THIS car won't start."  LOL.

Despite this all, we had a wonderful week.  Morgan turned one, of course. :) We actually went on a DATE Friday night!  Morgan got to see all five of her grandparents this week.  And I got to see my sisters!

Here are some pics from my dad, stepmom, and sisters' visit Saturday (Danny missed out on all the fun since he was out of town).  Morgan was a hoot and was actually very sleepy the last couple of hours.  But she REFUSED to miss out on any of the fun and hilariously fought it to the very end.  She was asleep literally two minutes after they pulled out of our driveway.  So funny!

Once again, she was all over my dad.

With my stepmom, Antritia (she was loving her bracelet).

Playing with her Auntie Rika

Dancing with her Auntie Lauren

With my two little sisters (who both grew to be taller than me).

Dad with his oldest.

With my dad and stepmom.

I hope everyone's having a great weekend!
