Fun Weekend!

Forgot to say how great a weekend we had on last night's post!  First of all, Morgan stayed a night away from us for the second time, and it wasn't that bad at all.  I actually was able to REST this time.  She stayed with Danny's parents and had a great time - they didn't want to bring her home.  I'm sure once she gets old enough, she'll also be telling us that she doesn't want to come home and would rather stay with her grandparents. I only called to check on her four or five times in a 24-hour period.  Wait, that is few enough times to brag on myself, right?  I think so!

Since DK was out of town for a coaching clinic, my mom and I had a girls weekend!  She came to stay at our house, and we ate, shopped, and went to see a chick flick.

Then we insisted on going to rent The Notebook since Mama had only seen the last half of it.  We watched that Saturday morning after my mom woke me up at 6:30 AM.  (She didn't wake me up to watch the movie, but asked me to get Morgan's clothes together for the week so she could iron them all.  Mama, it's 6:30 AM on a Saturday.  Normal people are in BED!  So after not going back to sleep, we watched the movie.)

We then spent the day watching Lifetime movies and I highlighted my mom's hair (if you follow me on Twitter, I forgot to report that it turned out okay.  She's a brave woman to ask me highlight her hair).  We did a little shopping before going to meet my in-laws to get the little one.

Then Sunday morning, my mom offered to take all of Morgan's little-baby clothes to her house for her to store until we have baby #2 (in case it's a girl, of course).  Our house doesn't have much storage space (besides our perfectly good attic, that we've never used), so I was so glad to rid her room of all those clothes.  I've been trying to reorganize her room for months (in my head, of course), so that helped a lot.

Anyway, just had to report on our weekend!  Have a good week!

  1. Glad you enjoyed some girl time! You deserve it. How was Dear John? I have read the book and really want to see the movie.
