I Love My Lipstick

We've had a great weekend so far (I'm posting this on Saturday night, which has turned out to be early Sunday morning; so when I say "today," I mean Saturday.  Sunday hasn't really happened yet.)

I had several reasons to be in my hometown (Talladega) this weekend!

First, the speedway had it's annual Easter Egg Hunt.  I thought it would be fun to take Morgan since they had one especially for toddlers.
She wasn't really feeling the Easter bunny, but she wasn't afraid of him.

While this picture just happens to catch her putting an egg in the basket, she was not at all concerned with picking up eggs.  She just wanted to walk around, and even step on a few.

My little cousin Suga was around this weekend, and Morgan likes her a lot.  She did the hunt for the big kids.

I got to see my friend, Meagan, who was one of my BFFs from fifth grade to senior year!  She hasn't changed a bit -- still as skinny and tall as as supermodel and still so sweet and genuine.

My brother fell asleep on the couch while we were all in the living room, and I thought that was the "perfect" opportunity for Morgan to practice her hairbrushing skills. She brushes really hard sometimes, and if you'll look at the pic, you can tell what side of the brush she uses. Poor Clif. LOL!

Morgan stayed with my grandmother (for the first time) Thursday night since her school was closed for Good Friday (Danny and I still had to work). They had a great time and my grandma said she'd keep Morgan anytime!

We got a chance to see my Godmother, Geraldine, who I happen to be named after. She and her family have actually called me "Geraldine" for years, though my given name is just Gerri. LOL.

And here's her mom, who we call Aunt Bobbi. So sweet!

This kid had a great time playing outside as usual.

My little funny niece Alteria came over tonight.  She, Suga and Mo had a good time!  Next weekend they'll all be at my mom's, including my other niece Carmelanie.  I haven't seen her since Christmas, and I miss that little sweetheart.  She's made honor roll all year so I owe her a Wal-Mart or Target gift card -- gotta remember to get it before Friday!

And then my silly cousin Lamarshall came over. We are three weeks apart and grew up super-close. He can make fun of me like NO ONE on this Earth. Well, he makes fun of everybody, actually.

Look at the one I bought her (right) versus the huge one my mom made for her (left). We can't wait to let her open it!

And if you're wondering why the title of this post, here's why:

My cousin Suga said she could draw me and this is what she came up with.  Looks just like me! :)  And that little bald-headed baby looks just like Morgan, too!  "I love my lipstick" is coming out of my mouth, though. LOL.  Why, you ask?  Well, today for a while I couldn't find my lip gloss.  And though my lip gloss isn't anything special, it's my absolute favorite and I don't like being without it (it's not even Mac or anything -- it's Bath and Body Works' Brown Sugar -- good stuff!).  So, I sort of kept saying to myself, "Where is my LIP GLOSS? UGH!"  Kids hear and observe EVERYTHING because apparently this picture is what she thinks of me, LOL!

Speaking of lipstick, I don't even wear lipstick.  LOL  My facial routine is actually pretty simple.  I throw on my favorite moisturizer, some mascara & eye liner, lip gloss and I'm done!  I've only worn lipstick and powder/foundation a few times in my life -- prom, weddings...you know, all that stuff, but that's it. Boring I know, but it totally works for me.

Anyway, another reason I visited my hometown this weekend is for a class reunion planning meeting!  We met Friday night!  We've always communicated via Facebook, but this was our first time meeting in person.  It was so good to see everybody, and we had great time laughing and catching up.  These girls are just as much fun as they were 10 years ago!  There were a couple of guys there, too, but, they were more interested in drinks.  LOL.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  The time is now 2:30AM.  I'm going to pay for this tomorrow...and that also means that this post may be full of typos and crazy talk.  I don't proof after midnight -- I just click "publish post" and hope that you guys know what I'm trying to say.  Happy Easter!
