Weekend of Fun

We've had a good weekend.  Morgan started hers off by wrapping her up week with her Honey and PawPaw at the Imagination Place Children's Museum in Gadsden.  She stayed with them pretty much the whole week.  DK and I both went back to work this week (school is officially over, but remember, I'm doing three weeks of summer school and DK pretty much works year round with football).  Since my mother-in-law was off this week, she so graciously offered to keep her.

Pics from Imagination Place:

Morgan, you sure you don't want more food?

Too cute!  Morgan had a great time with her Honey and PawPaw this week.  But boy was I glad to get her back Friday.  I missed her so much!

Saturday morning we did something I've been wanting to do since she was born -- try a Gymboree class.

Looks like she's doing a push-up here, LOL.

Of course she loved it, but it's not really for us (though I sort of knew that before going -- but why turn down a free class?).  While the teacher was very sweet and, like I said, Morgan had a great time, there was nothing she did in there that she doesn't do at school already.  She even knew a couple of the songs they did (songs we've never sang with her and had no idea she knew).  I think Gymboree is more beneficial to the child that isn't in school/daycare yet.  Which is probably why their classes during the week are during the workday.  But it was a very cute place and I'm really glad we went.

Then Saturday, DK decided to get on the grill.  IT. WAS. SO. GOOD.  He grilled steak, shrimp, chicken, pork, burgers, dogs, sausages, corn, potatoes, & onions.

DK doing his thang.

Honey and PawPaw came over as well as Tommie and Danny's Uncle Louis (Ash came over later).  Danny's dad put up a tent, and we planned to get out there and enjoy the sun -- and even let the Monster swim in her little pool in the shade.  That never happened -- it was soooo hot.  So we stayed inside and watched ESPN all day.  Of course the men played cards, too.  We had a great time.  Next time, we'll have to PLAN something and have the whole families over.  Looking forward to it already!

The lonely tent.
Tommie hung outside with DK and helped out at the grill.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
