I'm 28!

 ...and it feels great!

It's my birthday!  Yep, I took one of those infamous bathroom shots.  Just want to one day look back and see myself at this age.  You know, when my hair is gray and all that good stuff.  I plan to take a picture on every birthday from now on (why didn't I think of this before)?

The older I get the younger my age feels (if that makes sense).  I remember thinking that 28 was like...OLD.  That's absurd to me because obviously 28 is super young! =) I hope to also feel that way about 30!

I've had a great day filled with simple pleasures.  After work, Morgan and I went to the park for a picnic.  Okay, sorta.  Try a quick Wendy's meal eaten at a picnic table.  I don't do the fast food thing with her, but today I didn't have lunch.  I was really hungry after work, but didn't want to go home then come back out to the park. So in comes Wendy's -- quick and easy!  She actually wasn't very interested in it (I'm sure it had something to do with the fact that we were at the park).  I had to feed her her regular dinner when we got home.

After the "picnic," she played.  And played.  And got really dirty.  The good thing is she said "night-night" as we were approaching our house -- which was great!  She was fast asleep by 8 (which used to be her regular bedtime, but we've been struggling with that lately).

She loves dirt.  She loves airplanes (one flew over the park today -- she was fascinated.  She looks for them in the sky all the time.).  She loves cars and trucks.  She loves taking things apart and putting them back together (have you ever noticed the little seat in the pic below she's always playing with?  She loves to play with the buckle on that thing).  It's almost like she's a little boy!  I think it's the cutest thing.

Another simple pleasure from today was this WHOLE Zoe's cake some friends at work brought (as well as a candle set and a sweet card).  I LOVE Zoe's chocolate cake (if you haven't tried it, DON'T).

My niece called me and sang a "cha-cha-cha" version of Happy Birthday -- too cute!  And last, but not least, I had a little cousin (whose shower I attended a couple of weeks ago) BORN TODAY!  That makes three of us on that side of my family that share a birthday.  Fun!

I meant to update the blog over the weekend, but I didn't get around to it.  We had a very low-key weekend.  We spent Saturday watching football games at my SIL's.

She has a TON of beads that Morgan loves to play with.

Morgan and me chilling in the guest room (the only time she wanted me -- naptime). I watched two movies on DVD that day!  Loved it!

Playing outside one day last week...

When the World Cup was going on this summer, her daddy bought her a soccer ball.  She loves it.  She can even do a little kicking (little tomboy)!

Yep, she's crying here.  I threw the ball on top of the house and she loved seeing it come back down.  So when I stopped (after doing it a million times), she cried.  Of course after I took this pic we did it a million more times.

Drinking my Chick-fil-A lemonade one day like it was hers!

At the park one day last week.

It seems like I had so much more to blog about, but I can't remember anything!  It's after 11 PM, and I should SO be in bed.  I hope everyone is enjoying their week!
