Football and More Football!

Yay for a long weekend!  It started off a little yucky when we played Hoover Friday night.  Since Danny coached at Hoover for four seasons (and I teach there), it was a funny feeling at first being on the visitor's side. :)  Hoover ended up beating us like we owed them money!  Yikes!  But hey, it happens!

Saturday we headed to Tuscaloosa for some more football. My in-laws are amazing tailgaters and provide food, drinks, music, TV, fun, and downright comfort for many people.

I'm sure my MIL will kill me for posting this, but that's her in the apron.  She's such a great host!

Morgan visiting with "Uncle" Jay

and playing with Jasmin.

Danny caught this picture of the Monster and me playing.

I snapped this one of the two of them.

My mom and my niece Carmelanie hung out, too.  One of Danny's younger relatives was also there, so Carmelanie had a playmate. :)

Someone took a good nap! My MIL took some time from her "hosting" to take my child for a walk on the Quad and she came back like this!

That's my FIL in the black shirt doing his "man" hosting.

The guys playing what I call the "beanbag game."

Morgan visiting with one of the tailgating neighbors.  This man here makes some really good polish sausages!  I ate some one season and came back very pregnant the next season, so he tells people it's pregnant sausage - ha! I still eat one (okay, maybe more than one) every tailgate!

No, we didn't make the kids stay in a gate!  This was actually a gate we brought for Morgan so she could have her own play space.  But the big kids thought it'd be fun to chill in it for a minute.

The girls got a little restless, so we took a walk.

The weekend wasn't over yet -- after Danny worked for a few hours today, he took me to see a movie (a huge treat when it's football season)!  My sister-in-law kept the monster while we had our date!

So we had a great weekend, but back to work in the AM!  Boooo!  Have a good week, everybody!
