The Weekend

We've had a great weekend.  I went to a Christmas party Friday night and had a good time.  Morgan really had a great weekend because she had a friend and cousins over.  Saturday night, KJ came over while his parents had a date night (he was one of these beautiful faces from a couple of weeks ago).

They ate snacks, of course.

When one did something, the other wanted to, of course

Making funny faces.

Morgan had a great time with KJ and cried when he left. Awww. :(

Then the next day, her big cousins came over.

I'm always afraid they'll be bored here because of all the "baby toys," but they pretend Morgan's toys are something else.
Like I think this little baby laptop was a cash register!

And these little shapes were sausage links (she loves cooking shows).

They left this morning (and Morgan cried), but they'll be back later this week.  Yay!

In the meantime, Morgan spent the day doing her usual.

Here she was caught doing something she's not supposed to -- playing with the desktop keyboard.  That computer is so old (and slow), I almost don't care.

Snuggled with her daddy.

Mo loves to read and be read to. As a kid, I loved books and I hope she turns out to be the same way!

I am aware that this looks like child abuse, but this is the kind of stuff you'll see from Morgan and her daddy. They always play so hard, I'm always saying, "Danny, that's too high" or "Danny, that's too rough!"  She loves it and I can't help but giggle at times like these.

And then, as always, she gets into random things.  When we play with stickers, she sticks them to paper or her hands.  Her daddy showed her a new spot today -- her face.  And she loves wearing her mittens (or "goves," as she calls them).

We bought this little raincoat and boots on clearance at the Hartsrings outlet over the summer and thought it'd be another year before she could wear them.  We were doing some winter cleaning in her room today and decided to try them on her.  She can pretty much wear them now!  They grow so fast!

We're going to try to get a few more things done around the house over the next few days and enjoy the break with family.  Hope everyone's having a great week!
