What will you like?

Dear Morgan,

I look at you today and wonder what kinds of things you'll like when you're older.  What activities will you enjoy?  When I see you "flip," I wonder if you'll be a gymnast.  When I see you run so fast, I wonder if you'll do track.  When I see you kick the soccer ball, I wonder if I'll be a fun soccer mom.  When I see you coloring, I wonder if you'll be a talented artist.  When I hear you singing songs, I wonder if you'll be in your school choir.  All of these things make me giddy because I'm going to LOVE anything you like!

As a kid, I did lots of things -- a little bit of t-ball and gymnastics.  I was a Girl Scout for a few years.  I did choir (church and even a city-wide choir).  I played clarinet for three years and taught myself a little piano.  And the thing I did the longest and probably defines my youth is cheering!  I began cheering in 6th grade and did it for seven years.

So I couldn't help but get a little tickled when I looked at these pics today.  You look SO MUCH like a little cheerleader!

Edited to Add: While these pics may look a bit extreme, this was nothing more than these two playing around -- a daddy throwing his little girl in the air. I just caught these shots, making it look a little crazier than it really was. :)

I was a flyer when I cheered, so it is so funny looking and seeing your form at two years old!  Well, I know it's not true form because all you knew is you were doing was being thrown up by your daddy, but some of these shots still look like a real tiny cheerleader!  Hilarious!

When you look back at this years from now, please know two things:  First, I don't "expect" you to be a cheerleader.  I look forward to loving anything you choose to do!  And second, know that I didn't dress you in shorts in December.  We were just around the house today and I threw these on on top of a onesie. :)

I love you, little girl, and I think you're the funniest person in the world!

Love, Mommy
