Okay, so I made it through last week with my school work.  I was up really late a few nights, but I lived.  It feels like I've read thousands of pages of reports and articles this semester (not including textbook stuff), and I'm only halfway through the semester.  I honestly thought getting an EdS would be like getting another masters degree (which is already a lot of reading and writing), but it's been 100 times that.  At least that's what it feels like.  But you know what makes this all worth it (besides the hike in pay, of course)?  I'm just so in love with the stuff.  I'm learning more and more about my constantly-changing field of business/technology education, and every assignment just reminds me that it's nearly impossible to get bored with what I do.  Can't say I won't be happy when I'm done with this school stuff, though.  My lifestyle is just not made for it anymore.

What else have we been up to?  Well, the Monster and I actually at home today.  Morgan didn't get a full nap Sunday, didn't go to bed at her regular time Sunday night, and didn't have the greatest day at school Monday, so I figured we both just needed a nice, quiet day at home.  My sweet baby is napping as we speak.  And when I say we BOTH needed it, I mean that.  My lack of sleep and busy schedule finally caught up with me, and my Monday was awful, too (worse than regular Mondays - ha).  I think the monster and I both are having sinus issues right now, so I felt we needed a day to slow down before we REALLY get sick.  With everything that's going around right now, we need our immune systems to be at their best.

I know all I've done is complain in this post, but everything really has been great.  We're having fun as usual.  Morgan moved up to a new class last week and did a great job with the transition.  We had a great weekend, too.  DK and I did our taxes Friday night after the Monster was in bed.  I usually do them on my own, so it was nice having him sit down with me and see what all goes into it.  Saturday we had a date night. Our date only included dinner because we both were too exhausted to make the 10:30 PM movie.  I remember the days when late-night movies were one of our things.  Ha!  We're getting older and just don't have it like we used to. :)

Morgan with Auntie Ashleigh
Morgan:  "Eat bread or take a picture? Hmmm..."

Sunday we went to eat for Ashleigh's (Danny's sister's) birthday.  Morgan hung out with Ash and my mother-in-law afterwards and went to watch her big cousin Haleigh play soccer.  That gave me a chance to do some grocery shopping without a husband (who hates grocery shopping) or squirmy toddler! :)

And, well, that's it.  I'm sure I'm forgetting something but, I must go now.  I have a lot of grading to do when I return to work tomorrow, so I have to mentally prepare for that.  Plus I decided to do some spring cleaning in Morgan's closet today and pack up all her too-little stuff.  So I need to prepare to finish that when she wakes up.  In the meantime, I think I'll watch a little DVR.  Or maybe pick up the trail she's left in the living room.  When she sees clean, unfolded laundry, she thinks she has to go through and try on everything -- underwear and everything (not just hers - ha)!

Anyway, I hope everyone's having a great week!  After today, I'm sure mine will be better! :)
