A Laid Back Weekend of Cherries and a Crumbling House

Hey there.  Hope you had a good weekend.  Ours was pretty laid back.  We stayed home most of the time.  DK grilled, and we enjoyed some yard play and a swim at the neighborhood pool.

Remember this little cardboard house from a few months ago?  M has been asking to play with it lately, so I pulled it from a pile in the garage.  I was too lazy to put it together all the way so occasionally it would fall to the ground.   Womp!  (I thought it was hilarious.  M -- not so much.)

Since we've been on the go quite a bit the last week or two, this weekend's downtime was very much needed.  We were even able to get a lot done around the house.  Productiveness feels so good.

We're back at it this week.  Two more weeks of teaching summer school (for me) and then a few weeks off before the regular school year starts back.  Though I think this summer is flying by way too fast, I can't complain --  it's been good to us.

I still have to post about our little hiking adventure, my friend's shower, and Miami.  So it looks like a post may go up just about every day this week.

Be back soon. Enjoy your week!

  1. You sound like me, half way putting the house together and it falling. I always start with good intentions but then I make my own short cuts to speed up the process.
