Relay for Life, Twins, and Baby Shopping

Did anyone read the title of this post and think that it had anything to do with a pregnancy announcement?  Okay, good...because it doesn't. (And if you thought so, sorry to disappoint ya.  No baby bumps here.)

We are totally in that "baby watch" stage, by the way. People suspect we're pregnant (or trying) all the time.  Including my MOTHER, who has asked me a few times this month if we'd started trying yet. I think she's suspicious because of the way our first pregnancy happened. Back when I told her we were trying, we literally learned I was pregnant just two or three weeks later.  I had no clue things would happen so fast.  She was caught off guard...and well, SO WERE WE. She still believes to this day that we were trying before I told her, which isn't true. Silly woman.

Anyhoo, Baby #2 will obviously come when (or if) God has planned.  (And I guess God and I happen to agree that the time is not quite right now - ha!)

On to what we did this weekend...we spent Friday evening at a local Relay for Life event.  Relay for Life is very dear to me.  While I didn't hold my own fundraiser this year, I still wanted to be a part.

If you have have been touched by cancer (family, friend, co-worker, etc.), consider supporting the American Cancer Society.  In fact, I'll make it easy for you...you can do so through my friend T's fundraising page, or through my school's Finance Academy fundraising page.  The Finance Academy also sold tank tops to raise money.  They're really cute, and they actually have a few left.  (If you're a friend/relative of mine and you want a Relay for Life tank, let me know.)

I may get a little more Relay for Life action next month when my hometown holds their event.  I know M will love that because she enjoyed this one:

We met this clown, and learned later in the evening that he's the dad of one of my former students.  He and M took a liking to each other pretty quickly, and she actually hung out with him and his daughter quite a bit that evening.  She talked about him all the way home.

And when I saw the little one was getting tired, we decided to call it a night.  But not before she joined in on the "Wobble" party in the middle of the field.  Ha!

Loves to dance!

Anyhoo, going back a few weeks...remember I told y'all I bought us matching bracelets on the cruise?  Well, here they are.  We wore them Saturday.

Aren't they cute? They're pastel-colored crystals in a gold setting.

We also (kinda) wore the same shoes Saturday:

These are my sandals from last summer, and I bought M similar ones for this year.  Except hers actually cost more than mine.  Mama's got on Payless sandals, while baby has on a sturdier brand.  My child is ROUGH on shoes, so she can't get Target and Payless sandals like her mama unfortunately...unless we want to buy several pairs throughout the summer (which I'm not trying to do).

Anyhoo, we spent Saturday afternoon baby shopping with my sister-in-law as she picked up gifts for a friend's baby shower.  Well, she's actually hosting the shower, so that included getting some party stuff, too.  I love shopping for new babies and seeing what the new mamas want. Brings back memories. :-)

Someone else also thought they could benefit from the Babies R Us visit (also a Toys R Us):

...and convinced their TeeTee she needed a new toy.

We've had a great weekend. I'm gonna spend the rest of my Sunday evening relaxing and hopefully catching up on some DVR (Grey's and The Game) or reading.  Before I go, though, let me share a couple of cute Relay pics I just stole from my friend's blog (thanks, G!):

Cute pic of M and Sparky.

(you should recognize the one on the right from some previous posts of mine)...

Have a great week, y'all!
